Tamarind Village

Sa-wat-de! This is said often around Tamarind Village, our home away from home in Chiang Mai! It is used for good morning, good evening, good afternoon, good night, hello and goodbye and always followed with a slight bow of the head and hands in prayer brought to your face. We are loving the Tamarind Village! It is perfectly located close to everything in the old city of Chiang Mai, so we can walk almost anywhere. It's built around a 200 year old Tamarind Tree that they take exceptional care of. The staff is so kind and detail oriented. Once we checked in we were greeted with iced herbal tea, cool cloths, walked to our room and then given a tour of the grounds. The room is really spacious with an airy feel and two balconies, one off the living room and one in our bedroom. I love the decor of the room and wouldn't mind living here for a while!
