There is only 2 ways in and 2 ways out of our private beach and it's either by boat or the monkey trail! The monkey trail only being used if you really want to get to town last minute or save $20. It's a treacherous path across the rocks you see in the picture above! Of course, on our first night here we wanted dinner last minute in town, so of course we took the monkey trail at night with a flash light, umbrella and backpack for shopping. We met a couple on their way back as we were heading up the trail and asked them how it was? They said they wouldn't take this trail at night as first timers, and they just saw a snake! O joy!! Of course we didn't let this new knowledge deter us and pressed onward in a light rain. Now that I have seen this path in the daylight, I agree that ignorance is truly bliss!
